Join Streamline & Sprint as a USA Swimming Official
Becoming a certified USA Swimming Official is a rewarding way to support our athletes and contribute to the success of swim meets. Here's how you can get started with Streamline & Sprint:
Step 1: Create Your USA Swimming Account
To begin, register as an official with USA Swimming. This process is similar to registering a swimmer. Visit the S&S USA Swimming Registration Hub to create your account. If you’ve previously registered a swimmer, you can use the same login credentials.
Note: The registration link for officials is the same as for swimmers and should not be shared publicly. Click Here to access the S&S USA Swimming Registration Hub.
Step 2: Complete Required Trainings
- Background Check – Complete Here (Cost: $30–$40)
- Athlete Protection Training – Start Training
- Concussion Protocol Training – Take Course
Step 3: Take the Officials Test
Once your trainings are complete, take the Stroke & Turn Test online: Take the Test
Use the USA Swimming Rulebook to guide you through the test.
Step 4: On-Deck Apprenticeship
To finalize your certification, complete four on-deck sessions as an apprentice official. These must be spread across at least two different meets.
Streamline & Sprint will provide a schedule of upcoming meets where you can apprentice. You may also apprentice at other USA Swimming-sanctioned meets outside our team.
